  • Hello Cerberu5 and a big welcome to Cancer Chat,

Thank you for coming here and sharing your story with us. I am so sorry to hear you have been diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic prostate cancer which has spread to the hip/pelvis and multiple lymph nodes and that those other medical conditions limit your options and you can only have hormone therapy

I hope that your hormone therapy treatment goes well - treatment is going to be on Christmas eve it seems!

I've noticed that another member posted on the same day as you about their prostate cancer diagnosis so don't hesitate to drop them a line if you wish to do so. Have a look at  's prostate cancer thread about their prostate cancer diagnosis and feel free to respond if you wish to do so. We have another forum member  who has extensive experience of living with advanced prostate cancer so it could also be another great person for you to connect with.

Best of luck for your hormone therapy treatment - I hope the hormone injection is of help and that the hormone therapy treatment is effective.

    Best wishes,

  • Hi Cerber5, and another very warm welcome from me, though I'm so sorry you find yourself here. I was a year younger than you at diagnosis, mine being T4 N2 M1b, Gleason 10, PSA 8.2, aggressive intraductal with cribriform variant, with mets to seminal vesicles, bladder, bowel, rectum, and 8 lymph nodes as well as having co-morbidities which limit my treatment options too, and still enjoying life my friend, I'm sorry you have treatment limitations, but if not today, there are a few  possible options down the line, and coming from 15 years in healthcare, many in cancer/palliative care, I research these options, and hormone therapies have improved enormously since I retired 5 years ago. If I  can help you in any way, please ask my friend
