Hi Izzi so sorry to hear about your diagnosis. It is a very hard decision to make. If it were me I would try the chemo and see how you get on with it as you could always stop it if it doesn't agree with you. I have had chemo and it was tough but you can get through it. Also I think in a year medicine can change and there could be some new treatment, trials available. I am on another forum for incurable cancer and the people on there have all lived way past what the oncologist predicted. I have incurable cancer and not been given a date, I don't want to know. I am determined to live every day and to enjoy it, but is is about the quality of your life. What do your family think? I do wish you lots of luck on whatever decision you make, it is up to you at the end of the day.

Hi Izzy I have been diagnosed with stage 4 too based in Yorkshire x
Hi I’m new here my husband had a endoscopy last week and was told he got stomach cancer .thr doctor who done the endoscopy she called us in and said she was very worried ,and took a biopsy waiting for result .
please can you tell me what is your symptoms
Mine all started when I had a bad stomach and i ended up having a ulcer which burst and that's when they found the cancer but that was months after I've been complaining about the pain which lead to the cancer spreading because as it burst it hit the cancer and spread the cells. Also I've had a bad shoulder for months constant aching which i told the doctors but they ignored but once diagnosed the doctors said that is a sign of stomach cancer. I wish you and your husband well .x
Thankyou for your advice I have decided I have to give this everything I got and started the chemo .
My family are behind me in whatever I decide they are amazing. Like you say a year in medicine can change .
I'm Wishing you the best outcome on your journey through yours
