  • Hello Lauren_c,

I am so sorry to hear that your mum has bone cancer in her leg and that this has affected her mobility. It must be a bit of a shock for everyone especially as she got the all clear from salivary gland cancer and you must be left with lots of questions racing through your head and to be wondering where it spread from. Don't hesitate to ask your mum's medical team to tell you more if there is anything they could share with you and I hope that there are treatment options available to her.

I hope that you will hear from the experiences of others here who have had a similar experience and have bone cancer mets and that they will be along shortly to share it with you. If you wanted to talk things through with our cancer nurses, you are also welcome to give them a call on this free number 0808 800 4040 - their helpline is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.

Best wishes to you and your mum,

  • Hi Laren-c,  I am sorry to hear about your Mum.  I think to find out where it has come from they will have to do a bone biopsy on her leg.  I had breast cancer 13 years ago.  I started with hip and back pain last year.  It was cancer and they had to do a bone biopsy because they didnt know where it was coming from.  Turns out it is secondary breast cancer although no sign of cancer in my breast this time.  Good luck.
