Hello I am a 72 year old female and have been diagnosed with stomach cancer which will require total removal. Is there anyone in this forum who has, or is going through the same thing?
I am so sorry to hear you have been diagnosed with stomach cancer and I can imagine it is a very anxious time for you as you are waiting for this big surgery involving total stomach removal. Just a few days ago, Chrissyt posted this thread on being diagnosed with stomach cancer and Bruna posted this thread four months ago after being diagnosed with stomach cancer and they mentioned at the time that they were going to have chemotherapy then surgery. I am 61 year old and been told my stomach cancer is inoperable!! Due to the position and unusual cancer SQUAMOUS CELL CARCINOMA which apparently doesn’t grow in the stomach but it has in mine! I am waiting to go a hospital in Manchester to see if they can consider any treatment. I am very sorry to hear about your cancer and full stomach removal - It doesn’t feel like you are happy at all, and this is understandable, BUT at least they can do something for you to extend your life, honestly that is luck in its self.
