Hi , I'm new to this forum, I'm 70 years old and was diagnosed with prostate cancer stage 1 gleason 3 + 3 last May, still trying to get my head around it all ,I've opted for active surveillance as my initial treatment.

I also hope this forum can be a source of extra support for you. We are always here whenever you may need it, even if it's just to write things down. My reply here will mean a few more people should see your post, and hopefully send a reply. Thanks for the welcome Ben, I can't understand why my urologist says there is no need for any urgency for treatment at this stage, my thoughts are surely this is the objective of cancer screening and early diagnosis.ie catch the cancer early and treat it.
I would like to here from other people who have opted for this option .
