Hi Dave, unfortunately due to staff shortages making waiting times much longer nowadays, it affects many people.. I have just accepted a telephone consultation from my Colorectal consultant to be given my colonoscopy results...which was done in December 2024... if I had chosen to wait for a face-to-face appt it could be a further 10 weeks.. this situation has been ongoing since Oct 2023, I need answers,  as you do..

Hi. I’m sorry you’re having to wait so long. It does seem very random depending on where you live or staffing levels, but I hope you get good results and manage to stay as positive as you can! 
I took a call just an hour ago and have a 2nd colonoscopy being done a week today and I think I’ve been quite fortunate with regard to waiting times so far. Trying hard to remain positive and strong and I hope you are too! Keep smiling!..

Thanku for your reply Dave, 20 week wait is standard time for colonoscopy results here in Scotland...glad you have been given a date for your repeat colonoscopy,  hope all goes well next week for yo .. staying positive is essential for us all ️
