More anxious cos of the wait

Diagnosed over a week ago with bowel cancer and 1st scan showing ‘concerning’ lesions on liver and lung. Now waiting for a further colonoscopy and full mri before any treatment can be planned. I think I’m a positive person but fast losing that positivity. Trying to remain bright and cheerful for immediate family and they are all being amazing, but their concern is starting to show too….

    Hello Dave, and first of all, so sorry for what you are going through.  The waiting is very hard isn't it?  And no matter what anyone says to you, your mind will be all over the place, thinking all kinds of things.  However, once you get your treatment plan, you can begin the first steps of fighting this monster.  There is no point in telling you not to worry  because it is entirely natural for you and your family to be worried.  My thoughts and prayers are with you Dave, and please keep us informed of how you are doing.
