Hi I had papillary carcinoma thyroid cancer I had total thyroidectomy and got the all clear. I have to take levothyroxine for rest of life and on calcium tablets I had the surgery last July. Try not to worry as thyroid cancer has a very good survival rate. I known the word cancer is horrible I've actually had melanoma too. I would not of known about the thyroid cancer if I did not have melanoma. Do you know how big it is if you dont mind me asking. Happy to answer any questions you have.
I was in hospital for 2 nights it was not that bad. No melanoma did not spread to thyroid I had two different cancers. Melanoma spread to a few lymph nodes in groin I'm in all clear at the moment.
