Hi started my journey with PC August 2023 had 20 RT and 2 years HT,stopped my HT with 2 injection left as the side effects was bad for me causing bad near suicide depression. Have any of the guys on here with PC had the same side effects?
Hi sheffman, and welcome, i have "treatable", prostate cancer, for 31 months now, and it has changed me emotionally, I've lost interest in many things I used to enjoy, my empathy levels are through the roof and I'm more emotional in a good way, which many guys share, but there are the dark times too, when It's tough and you have thoughts you'd rather not have, but again, talking to friends with cancer, this is pretty normal, but it's not depression, my friend, depression is a serious condition and requires professional help, though you reaching out for support is a good sign that maybe your having a tough time and not depressed, but please seek out the support you need, best wishes.
Thank you for your reply, I am having counselling through macmillan and that is what is helping get back to a good place, little way to go as yet I will get there.
