Similar to me. Mammogram re-call. Ultrasound and biopsy, 22mm invasive ductal carcinoma  ER 8/8 HER2 - ,grade 2, stage 2a. It never grew in the time between diagnosis and lumpectomy, all the aches and pains and shortness of breath was stress. Honestly, the most I've been scared in my life time but I also believe I was extremely lucky. The op was quick, I left hospital the same day and walked straight into work to hand in my sick note. My scar is tiny, 4 sentinel nodes removed, no node involvement and clear margins. My boob has filled with fluid slightly and if I'm honest, it looks better now than before the op ! I had 5 days of radiotherapy with slight headache and fleeting nausea but I am quite a bit fatigued. Very doable though. 5 years of anastrozole due to being hormone fed. Oncotype dx score came back at 12 so no chemo (score of 25 and over if you're post menopausal will mean chemo. If you're younger you need to score a lot less to avoid chemo). You absolutely can do this !! Make sure you take someone with you to appointments. We go deaf when we're scared, you need someone to hear what's being said. The waiting in between appointments is the worst and like GlioBex said, don't google. It's more American based and outdated information.  X
