  • Hello Nthonda

I'm so sorry to hear that you're struggling with some very unpleasant side effects of your treatment at the moment. Have you spoken with your care team about this? If not then please do as there may be something they can prescribe to help improve things for you. If you can't get hold of your care team then you can call NHS 111 for advice.

If you'd like to talk with one of our nurses for some advice and support you can call them on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

I do hope that things improve for you soon.

    Best wishes,

  • How do I know if any one has replied  to my request thanks

  • Hello Nthonda

If someone replies to your post you will receive an email notification. You can read more about this in our help topic thread here

Apart from my reply to you yesterday you've not received any other replies from community members. This is possibly because no one who has experienced a similar problem to yours has seen your post as yet. Hopefully, you will receive support from others soon.

In the meantime, don't be afraid to call NHS 111 for advice or visit your local pharmacist. Do talk with with chemo care team as soon as you are able to as well.

    Best wishes,

  • Hi Nthonda, a few of my friends who had/having chemo find sucking on ice-cubes, or frozen pineapple chunks through treatment helps them.

    best wishes. Eddie
