Primary peritoneal cancer

Hi has anyone else been diagnosed with primary peritoneal cancer that has moved into the sigmoid colon ?

  • Hello Tree-M,

I hope that you will hear from other members of our community who have been diagnosed with primary peritoneal cancer  which has moved into the sigmoid colon. We have information on our website on primary peritoneal cancer which I hope you will find helpful. Coping with cancer, particularly when it's rare, can be difficult as you can feel a little isolated and there can be a lot of information to take in. If you wanted to ask our cancer nurses anything, you are very welcome to give them a call on this free number 0808 800 4040 - their helpline is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.

I have had a little look around our forum for past relevant threads from other members who have been diagnosed with primary peritoneal cancer - I have not found anyone mentioning the cancer moving into the sigmoid colon but I did find a couple of members who posted about 4 months ago who had had a primary peritoneal cancer diagnosis. For example,  posted this primary peritoneal cancer thread and was at the time looking to talk to someone and you will notice on the same thread  's responses so don't hesitate to respond to these members if you feel like sharing your experience with them.  is another of our members who has had a primary peritoneal cancer diagnosis and you can read her story and respond too if you wish to do so.

I hope that you will hear from others who have had a similar diagnosis in the past or who are currently going through treatment for primary peritoneal cancer and perhaps someone will also be in exactly the same position as you with peritoneal cancer that has moved into the sigmoid colon. Even though PPC is a rare cancer, you are not alone and I hope that others who have had a similar diagnosis will be along shortly to share their experience with you.

    Best wishes,
