JoJo - lump removed earlier this year but now having shooting pains in my breast. Should I be worried?

I had a lump removed in May this year and then Radiotherapy. I am experiencing shooting pains in the breast and tenderness all the time, with a niggly pain in my arm pit . should i be worried.

Thank you

  • I have exactly the same symptoms after a lumpectomy in May followed by radiotherapy. There is a good explanation on the forum of Breast Cancer Now in reply to a post "ongoing pain after breast surgery, lymphnode removal or radiotherapy". I also have pain around the scar where all the lymph nodes were removed. I hope this article will put your mind at rest.

  • wow I had mine in May and radiotherapy in June. The shooting pain is one thing( nerves ) but sometimes I cant wear a bra as the pain is so debilitating.   I am going for a bra fitting on Sunday as the one I wear now may be an added issue.. Thank you  so much & Take care x
