Gastro oesophageal cancer treatment

 Hi everyone

I have a Vestibular neuroma that is growing and looks like I'll be going for treatment.  I am lucky because it is benign.  However, I am here because my cousin has an inoperable tumour and I am looking for help for her.

Stay strong people, every minute is worth the fight !

  • Hello Carol-from-Lancs,

I wanted to wish you the best of luck for your vestibular neuroma treatment - I am so glad it is benign it must be a huge relief to you. If you're interested in finding out more about it, we have a useful information page on our website on vestibular schwannoma and on possible treatment plans for this benign neuroma. And even if it is benign, it is always a worry to be going through treatment and I hope that it will all go smoothly for you.

I am so sorry to hear about your cousin's inoperable tumour and I noticed you have been given some good advice by our cancer nurses in your other thread and we also have in-depth information on our website on gastro oesophageal junction cancer. It must be so hard to know what to do and how you can help in a situation like this and we have some valuable tips on our website for Family, Friends and Carers  you might find helpful with some insights on how best to support someone with cancer. I just wanted you to know you are not alone and there are other members of our community who find themselves in a similar situation to your cousin or who have had a similar diagnosis. I had a little look around the forum for you and found for example  's gastro oesophageal junction cancer thread which you are welcome to respond to if you wish.

I hope that you will hear from the experiences of others here who have been through treatment for gastro oesophageal cancer and that you can get some tips on how best to support your cousin through this difficult time.

    Best wishes,
