Hi Maria, 

I am so sorry to hear about your advanced stage 4 lung cancer diagnosis and being diagnosed just before Christmas must have been rather upsetting too and it must have affected how you felt at Christmas. It's positive news though that chemo and radiotherapy shrunk the cancer and waiting for scan results is always such a stressful time and I am keeping everything crossed for you. It's normal to feel afraid when waiting for results and I hope that you won't have to wait too long. We have helpful tips to help you cope while waiting for important news which I hope will help you deal with this difficult wait. 

You're not alone though and they may be other members of our community who have been through something similar and who were diagnosed with advanced stage 4 lung cancer and I hope that they will drop by and share their experience with you.

Hi, my name is lin, age 69. I've just been diagnosed. They were hoping to do surgery but that is not an option now. Just about to start radical treatment , chemo and radiotherapy.  I'm so frightened  .  I too feel really alone although I have family. I so hope the scans say the best results you can hope for x x

your not alone.I was diagnosed with breast cancer 6 weeks ago had a full left side mastectomy and lymph node removal 4 out of five cancer.Was going to get the rest removed got called in you know your in trouble when the surgeon has tears in his eyes.Secondary bone cancer very rare apparently no cure for me had MRI see if its gone anywhere else.So bloody angry all this in 6weeks ??Im having oral chemo and i feel like *** (Sorry)tired and thinking this is no life sleeping 15hrs a day do i just stop and have 6mnths of normality or drag this on drugged up to hell?So your not alone maria.
