I'm sorry to hear that your partner has recently had a biopsy for a possible cancer diagnosis. We know that for many people this period of waiting for results, and the uncertainty that comes with it, can be very difficult. It's understandable that you're experiencing a rollercoaster of emotions at the moment. 

Hopefully next week's appointment will bring some answers and reassurance regarding the next steps in your partner's care and treatment.

Thank you for your message. I will let you know how the appointment goes. We were told it was almost definite it was cancer just have to hope it's caught at an early stage. These next few days are the longest days.

Hi the appointment was today. We have been told it is definitely cancer it is on his tonsil. The positive news its localised and is curable. We attend the oncology meeting within 2 weeks to discuss treatment options which they warned probably means removal of teeth (not sure how many) before radiotherapy. To be honest as awful as the side effects they told us about and the prospect of teeth loss it is a small price to pay to get rid of this cancer. Thankyou for replying to me it helped knowing someone was willing to do that. x

Hi it is tonsil cancer the positive news was they found it was localised and curable no evidence of any spread. Oncology appointment 2 weeks then treatment starts 4 weeks after, before radiotherapy they will remove any teeth that is needed. As much as not looking forward to all to come it's a small price to pay for being cured. Thank you for your reply. x

That's brilliant news that it's curable. At least you know what you are dealing with now, I felt that helped me with mine. Hope all goes well and pretty soon you can get back to your life. Xx
