Hi I've had one I never felt a thing ,I had sedation but I didn't even feel sedated I was wide awake the whole time ,really weird ,but the good thing is they will most likely tell you if there's anything untoward found or not .
Oh wow that’s good! I’m worried about results but more worried at moment about procedure. Does that make any sense?
Hi Gillm
There’s me feeling sorry for myself and you who have been through so much. So pleased you ‘dodged’ the two bullets. You are right it helps to talk and more so when you can be yourself. Feeling blessed to talk with you. Thank you
Pauline
Don't be daft. All health issues and worries are relative only to you, comparisons are pointless cos it's about what you feel right now and how it affects you. I only tell people bout the cancer to I suppose shed a
' positive ' take in so much that it's not always as bad as people think.
People often say we'll you don't look like you've had cancer and I'm like well that's good but I did twice lol.
Guess my takeaway from this is your EMR procedure won't be pleasant but not as bad as your fears. You'll prob know what the polyp is straight after when you're discharged. If it's a benign one or poss precancer or worse then it's gone. I've had about 25 precancerous ones removed to date and even more benign ones. These days I wave them goodbye in their little specimen jars.
Do let me know how it goes on Saturday.
Thank you
So nice to have you as a friend. I will start collecting nice jars for just in case You ate so wise and thoughtful thank you. I will keep you updated but also look forward to chats getting to know more about each other … only if that’s okay.!
Pauline
All good. They won't let you keep any polyps
But you might get a photo. I've got an album of the little blighters lol. And a photo of the villi in small intestine. Don't know if your science minded if you are apologies. but villi are the finger like bits in your small intestine that absorb food nutrients. Think the consultant did photo to shut me up lol.
Ah Gillm I’m not science minded but may have a new discipline to learn! I don’t want my polyp dontjry can have it … ah I’m sounding brave. Will get a photo album I’m learning to play guitar and have no natural talent so it’s painful! Do you have any hobbies? I also like walking bit of a loner really love outside in the sun or rain.
Hello
Ive tried PM you but it’s not working. How are you? I’m sad today. No procedure on Saturday! On the list to have it done under a general but a long waiting time. Discussed with the senior nurse who thought it in my interest not to try sedation again. Ah well! Just have to hope I don’t have to wait too long.
Sad too. Feeling rubbish. But will get over it .

Hello
thank you for your message. I’m struggling using the site as I’m not good following instructions. I’ve tried the guides and will try again.

Hi
Well they wouldn’t go through the procedure as I was in such a state. They’ve agreed to give me a general but have to go on waiting list and was told it could be 12 months during which time the polyp could turn (or already is) cancerous! Feeling tired with it all!
