CUP cancer unknown primary adenocarcinoma

Hi

Had laparascopy 17th May, had a small secondry cancer removed from right side stomach but cannot find Primary. PET scan not showing up primary.

Fast forward to today , first appt to see oncologist today, told incurable and can either watch and wait and have Pet scan every 3 months till it shows or can start a MOP chemo.  Was so positive and today feel like been knocked for six.  Going to see oncologist again in 2 weeks to discuss things.

Has anyone else got CUP

    Hi Ladycroft68 and a warm welcome to the forum, though sorry you have to be here and you cancer is incurable, I too am incurable but I don't have CUP, but was in healthcare 15years of which 5 were in palliative cancer care. I only wanted to say with CUP sometimes the primary isn't found because your immune system has taken care of it. best wishes.

    Yes I read that the immune system can do this so I thought that would mean I would be fine till I was told not the case , it will come back she ssid
