Sandyann - side effects of Folfox

Hi there I've just started folfox treatment for calangiocarcanoma gall bladder cancer and spread to my liver I had gem-cis last year up until Novmber 2023 It wasn't but no where near as bad a side affects as on this one. Does it get any better has anyone else experienced this. I'm waiting for results of liver biopsy to see if I can start a new trial drug called Tibsovo hopefully I can . Love to all.

  • Hi DarnasC,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. I'm sorry to hear you're struggling with the side effects of your treatment. We have some information about folfox on our website, including details about side effects and when to contact your team. If you continue to struggle, do of course discuss this with your doctor.

It doesn't look like there are too many other discussions on the forum about folfox unfortunately, but it might be worth having a search (using the bar at the top of the page) anyway. My reply here will also give your post a little boost, so a few more people should see it and hopefully you'll get some more replies.

I hope you're able to get the results you're waiting for soon.

    Wishing you all the best,

    Ben
