Reappearance of prostate cancer

Hi my name is James. I had an operation in 2010 to remove my prostate cancer unfortunately after a pet scan in April my cancer had come back and spread to my pelvic nodes I have just started a hormone course of tablets followed by a monthly injection is there anyone with the same issues would be glad to hear from you.

    I'm sorry to hear that you have recently been told that you have a recurrence of prostate cancer. it's understandably a concerning time for you at the moment. 

    We do have some information on our website about locally advanced prostate cancer that you may find helpful. I also wanted to tag another member  in my reply as I know that Eddie is living with prostate cancer that has spread to his lymph nodes. If you click on his name you'll be able to read a little of his story but I'm sure he will pop along at some point to share his experience of hormone therapy with you.

    Hi James and welcome to the forum though sorry you have to be here and that you cancer has returned. As Moderator Jenn has said, I also have prostate cancer which has spread to pelvic lymph nodes for which I am on hormone therapy HT, I also started with a 28 day course of tablets then injections, the first one for a 1 month period then 3 monthly ones, I started July 2022 just had my 9th injection with 5 more to go, ,last one Sept 2025 hopefully. James I am not experiencing a recurrence, i am still on my first treatment, If I can help in any way please ask, best wishes.
