Hello,
I was diagnosed with Ovarian cancer last year.
It's perfectly normal to feel apprehensive before your first treatment as you won't know what to expect.I was scared on my first treatment but the nurses are so lovely & you will be well looked after. They explained everything to me & don't be afraid to ask them questions. It was a very relaxing atmosphere.Very quiet which I liked.Hope this helps.
Take care

Hello,
I'm glad you are doing ok.I can relate to the friends bit too.I have found that sucking on pineapple cubes helps the throat & I do get a dry mouth.I have my treatment next week.Rest up as much as you can.You will need it.You talk away about yourself. This is what this is for.Big hugs on their way to you xx
Hi again ! Will remember the pineapple cubed.quite a sore tongue and croaky voice. Yes I guess it's difficult for Friends . Blandford is a really small town all charity shops! Felt so tired after walking down the one high street!. Are you having more treatment next week. On top of previous care .Sorry I wasn't surel .let me know. We can prop each other up! Xxx
Hi.Yes im still having treatment.Immunotherapy.Side effects aren't great.I had 6 Chemotherapy treatments but didn't get the all clear. It only spread to my lymph nodes in my stomach but its all going in the right direction. & they are shrinking.I have 10 more to go.Its a time thing.Keeping positive has helped get me through.Im in Dover. Its full of barber shops & cafes lol.Take care & rest up xxx
Hi , sorry to hear that .As you say everything moving in the right direction at least. As my Sons girlfriend said ,tick them off one by one. I had my hysterectomy, and when I came round the Doctor ld me he thought they got it all out. Yet under inspection it was still there. Fingers crossed for us both. We had caravan holiday home in Dover as a child .Happy memories .!of Dover Castle and Canterbury Cathedral ! Take care and have a for me !xxx
Hi.Well they are going by quite fast though so yes ticking them off.Doctor said pretty much the same to me too.Oh so our paths could have crossed at some point then lol.I can see the castle from where I live.I think it is one of the most beautiful castles in this country.I have never been to Canterbury Cathedral lol.Take care xxx
Oh wow , great to see a castle from your house! My parents had the caravan in the 70s so going back a bit.We went there for a few days a few years ago .Still nice .we live in Bournemouth now but came from London originally. Corfe Castle is a ruin but good views around. ⁴
Take care thinking of you at your appointment lots of lovexxx
Hi.The Castle is lit up at night too.Very pretty. Was the caravan at St Margaret's?Never been to Bournemouth.I have lived in Dover all of my life.
Take care too & thank you.Keep me posted on how those side effects are going.Lots of love xxx
Not too sure to be honest! My parents had it for weekend and weeks away out of London. Sadly no longer with us .I have a feeling may have been going towards Deal maybe. Seem to remember long car r es on Friday eves. No M25 or anything then.Still worth it for waking up Saturday and being on the coast!.I bet it looks lovely all lit up.Bournemouth has lights in the gardens which are pretty. not many shops though .take care and enjoy the weather. We are taking the dog out .felt floored last time ! Xxx
Hi.Ahh right. It sounds like it could be St Margaret's.Can yoh imagine life without the M25 now?Would be peaceful for some.lol.Ig does look lovely when it's lit up.Enjoy the weather & your dog walk.Take it easy though.
Bye for now.Be in touch soon xxx
