I know this isn't what your expecting to hear but had my first Chemo last week, and found it utterly relaxing x I didn't cold cap.

Hello, how are you doing this week? Did you get your chemo yesterday? I just had my 2nd round today xx

Hi Emma, I’ve not had a great week couldn’t get picc line in I couldn’t tolerate the pain so I’ve not had my chemo. 
Im now waiting on an appt for a port under sedation, no clue how long that will be. 
I should have had 3rd round yesterday but so far I’ve only had 1.

How are you feeling? How’s the cold cap going? xx

Oh no sorry to hear that, sounds rubbish :( did they give an idea of how long it might be for the port? 
I feel fine yeah, cold cap was fine again but just waiting for the hair loss to start any day now (not had any so far) I think it seems to always be just after 2 weeks that it happens so getting nervous! Xx

My consultant has requested it as urgent but he has no clue how long a wait I will have.

My hair is so thin coming out daily but no actual bald patches so far.

Will hopefully be able to continue with the cold cap when I eventually have chemo again.

Chemo tomorrow so hopefully they will speak to his consultant and provide some sort of update. He has a CT scan on 27th so we will have a better understanding of the position.

Morning to you both. Hubby was not well enough for chemo on Friday due to the sickness. He is at risk of malnutrition. They need to insert a stent or feeding tube so waiting for a call regarding next steps.

Hope you are both doing OK. Thinking of you both and sending a big hug xx

I hope you get an appt soon for the stent/feeding tube.

Im no further forward still waiting on sept for a port, now over a month behind in my treatment.

Hi, I’m ok thanks, still can’t shake this cold it’s a really bad one. My husband is just as bad though so don’t think the chemo is making it worse. I’m just so tired but not sleeping well at night so sleeping a lot during the day which feels rubbish. My hair has started shedding now too, quite a lot every time I touch it :( 

How are u? Did u get the port fitted yet? And how is the hair doing? Did the shedding slow down?

I sympathise with the not sleeping at night I’m the same but then I’m used to working nighshift and sleeping during the day so that’s half my problem.

Im struggling with my hair it’s so thin on top not sure if  by time i restart chemo I will be able to use the cold cap.

Still not had appt for the port, should be on round 4 of chemo next week but still only had 1 so feeling a bit down about it all.

Have you got your wig yet? Mine is delayed not coming till 17th June at the earliest. I’ve been looking at buying one online. xx

Is it still shedding lots or was it all in one go? I do have my wig yeah, got it last week. I ended up getting the one I tried on in the shop even though it’s a lighter blonde than I usually am, but the darker blonde they ordered in for me was not nice at all. I also got a baseball cap with hair attached from Etsy which actually looks brilliant, I think I would probably wear that for day to day things like going to the shop because it’s a lot comfier than a wig to be honest. 
That must be quite frustrating to be behind schedule, I really hope you can get your port fitted soon and get back to it xx
