Terminally ill

Hi, I was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer back in July and given 6 to 8 weeks to live, had a tumour removal ved from my brain and started immunotherapy just after and 6 months on I’m still here so why am I so depressed

  • Hi Frankiealfie, as a fellow member of the terminal club, welcome to the forum, and great news that surgery went well, though sorry you feel depressed, It's hard being told you have terminal cancer and your life will be shortened, it's not easy to carry on as "normal" ignoring the physical and emotional issues you have, and how it effects your family and friends, I have a few friends who are also terminal and we all have down days from a few hours to a week, It's normal. Though if you have been depressed for longer you should tell the nurses when you go for your next immunotherapy treatment, take care.
