Had prostatectomy followed by salvage radio therapy that concluded 5 years ago. PSA remained between 0.03 and 0.04 for three years and yearly tests since then have risen 0.08 then 0.12 then last week 0.53 Do I need to be concerned?

Hi Richard44, and welcome, Your PSA rise may just be because as you get older it does tend to rise, though i also think you should see your GP about it, just in case of relapse, as a prostatectomy only has to leave a tiny undetectable amount of tissue behind for a few cancer cells to survive, Though as your doctor has not recommended increasing PSA testing to 3 or 6 monthly i would take that as a good sign, take care
