Hello. I’m new here but hoping not to stay long… biopsy results tomorrow!

Um, hi…

I’ve just had a generic information email from CR informing me that it’s Cervical Cancer Prevention Week this week, which then resulted in me finding this forum. Tomorrow I’m receiving a phone call with the scan and biopsy results after an emergency gynae referral last Monday. I’d been ignoring symptoms for too long and then discovered a lump on my cervix. Needless to say that i’m bricking it. Hope this forum has been long abandoned by many posting in my position for whom it all turned out to be alright. Not really sure what I’m hoping to get out of posting here but I’m sending love to all those who need it.

  • Welcome to the forum, H.

I hope your appointment today provided you with some clarity and positive news.

Waiting for results can be incredibly challenging, and it's okay to feel a mix of emotions. This community is here for you, whether you want to share your experiences, seek advice, or simply find understanding if needed.

Take your time, and whenever you're ready, feel free to update or share your thoughts.

    Wishing you positive outcomes,

  • Finally got the results yesterday (a week later than anticipated- which wasn’t the most fun). It’s cancer. Waiting for PET scan appointment to find out more. But they are thinking hopefully stage 1b but scans showing a ‘borderline node’ so if that’s involved it’s stage 3, apparently. None of this feels real.
