Myelofibrosis

Hi my hubby has just been diagnosed with myelofibrosis through blood tests. He has had bone marrow biopsy and we get the results on 12th Feb. He is 71 and I'm terrified as to what the results might be. Having googled myelofibrosis it does not look to be a curable cancer. Any thoughts and experience with this would be much appreciated x

  • Welcome to Cancer Chat PatsyR although I'm sorry to hear your husband has been diagnosed with Myelofibrosis.

Waiting for results is never easy but our community are here for you and I'm sure it won't be long until some of our members stop by to offer their support and advice.

I know this must be a very scary time for you both so if either of you would like to talk things through with one of our cancer nurses, you can do so on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m. Our nurses are very friendly and will do all they can to help.

We're thinking of you PatsyR and wishing you and your hubby all the best for next month.

    Kind regards,
