What support is available for my parents?

Hi all

I'm looking for some information for my parents, my dad is 75 and my mum is 74. my mum's had and beat breast cancer 8 yrs ago but unfortunately had a further recent diagnosis of  cancer in several areas and has just started chemo tablets.

Please can anyone shred some light on any support available.

Please can you contact me to discuss further

Many thanks

Adrian

  • You may be able to get some help from your local Maggies or Macmillan centre. They will know what you're entitled to and your Maggies centre will probably have a wealth of information for things in your area. Support is a very broad term and some folk have an ok time getting help, whilst others have to jump through hoops. It really all depends on the care system in your area. Some are bad, some are awful and some are actually quite good. It really is a postcode lottery.
