A very warm welcome to our forum, although I am so sorry to hear why you're here.

How are you coping with your diagnosis? It always comes as a shock to the system and takes a bit of getting used to. It is impossible to say what will be done at your oncology appointment. My first one was just to discuss my treatment options. As you seem to know that you are going for chemo at the end of the month, it is possible that you may get your PICC line inserted.

Thanks for the warm welcome.  As for coping with the diagnosis, I was very pragmatic about it, but have had the occasional nearly-weepy moment when it all feels very real.  Having the contrast injected today made me think about the details of a PICC line, and that freaks me out a bit.

Because it's triple-negative, there's no question of hormone therapy, so it sounds like we'll do some chemo, then a lumpectomy, followed by radiotherapy.  I'm putting my trus in the science and the clinicians to recommend what's right.

Sounds like we are in the same boat. Triple negative and will start chemo. Seeing doctor tomorrow.  Like you a mix of practical and overwhelmed.  We can do this. Xxx

me and my friend both had breast cancer exactly same fine last year hers was TNBC grade 3 mine was her2 -she's doing absolutely amazing and started back to work this week 

just remember this journey is short term it's up and down I've been through it but trust me you will come out the other side smiling 

you are beautiful inside and out good luck

We all have some weepy moments, but crying is a good stress reliever, so don't worry about it. It's the thought of the PICC line that is freaking you out, more than the reality - I'm sure that you will cope just fine with it.

I hope that all goes well for you tomorrow. A positive attitude in all of this certainly helps in your recovery. We all have down days, but it's how quickly we get up again that matters.

Oh I'm sorry to hear this. 
best wishes to you.. it's so exhausting isn't it? The appointments the waiting.. cry your eyes out one minute and feel strong the next. I think everyone on this forum feels for each other and it's a great place to talk about anything your feeling..
