  • Hi S121TOB,

A very warm welcome to our forum.

I am so sorry to hear about your mum's diagnosis. There are different types of chemo, all with different side-effects. It is often used to keep the tumour in check and give people a little longer with their loved ones. Ask her care team which one they propose to give her and what the usual side-effects are.

I am here for you any tme you want to chat. I lost my mum to secondary breast cancer, which had spread to her lungs, liver, brain and bone. It's a hard journey, when all you can do is to be there to support your mum.

Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx

  • Sorry too hear about your mum, my mum is currently having palliative chemo but her prognosis is only 18 months, I am finding it difficult to deal with.
