2ww appointment tomorrow……sick with nerves

Hiii

first time posting here, but I've read so many stories. I found a lump under my armpit around 2 weeks ago and popped to see the GP, now I work in a clinical setting and new the protocol, but once those words came out of her mouth, I felt devastated, i honestly thought she'd of tutted at me and said I was waisting her time. I don't really know why I'm posting. I'm just trying not to be a debbie downer at home for my husband and son, we've had our share of bad luck with ill family members and I don't want to be a extra burden, now the GP was very reassuring that and I like I said previously I tick boxes, im 35 and have a new lump, now I dearnt allow myself to think it will be ok, as my mam thought that and she was poorly, she's all better now and living life to the max and won't bliddy retire but I'm not as strong as her she's amazing

im sorry for rambling

xx

  • Hi,

Just want to say hope everything works out ok for you.
I'm not in the same situation with you regarding finding a lump but just waiting on diagnosis for two masses found on my kidney & adrenal gland.

I totally get what you say about not wanting to be a Debbie downer at home I'm doing the same putting on a brave face.

    much love xxx

  • Thank you for your reply it really is reassuring and helpful reaching out, my husband doesn't cope well with things at all and believe it or not my main worry was him and how he would cope more than the dreaded outcome of this appointment, I have you in my thoughts and wish the very best for you xxxx
