Disturbed Asbestos Panel

Found a broken piece of sheeting in a void behind freezer  this morning, looks like asbestos (could see fibres sticking out), panicked and picked it up and put it outside. Already have anxiety about past asbestos exposure when younger. Worried I've contaminated the house and for my kids - my Grandfather died of Mesothelioma

    Unless it's a very old build, most buildings incorporate asbestos like materials that aren't actually asbestos. Like the old artex ceilings, nowadays they are just done using safe materials. You can't tell what is or isn't just by visualisation. That needs to be tested in a lab.

    If in doubt call someone who can test the panel.
