Hi, I was diagnosed with breast cancer in November and going in for a single mastectomy and reconstruction. Has anyone got some advice they could share with me? Thanks
Hi. I had a mastectomy and reconstruction in nov 21 and found it an easy procedure tbh. Not too painful afterwards , the drains were a bit of a pain but nothing that you can t cope with. Do your exercises once you ve had your 2 week all clear . Make sure you rest but also do some gentle exercise and build yourself up. Outcome looked very good and i m happy with it , just waiting for a nipple now. Wishing you lots of luck xx
Thank you so much for responding. I am home now had the surgery but they had to change it midway and put it an implant. Taking it easy and small steps to recovery!
