Hi,
I posted on one of the other areas but wanted to do it on the introduce me section too to increase the chance of someone getting in touch.
I attended my GP with some bowel changes and pain to my lower left abdomen (no other OC symptoms like abnormal bleeding, pain during sex etc and generally I feel really well), she asked to do an internal exam and of course I let her - she was quite concerned and felt a lump but never specified where, I was called the next day to my as gynae wanted my ca125 done before seeing me which came slightly elevated (75) - getting my bloods done the nurse confirmed the lump was believed to be on my ovary.
My ultrasound was booked for the 3rd of January but I have a cancellation for Friday 30th December and now I know wheels are in motion I am feeling better.
I'm only 30 so I'm hoping statistics are on my side but just wondered if anyone has had a similar experience with a positive outcome? I have 2 young children and work in healthcare myself so I'm trying to keep myself busy. I've still no appetite since getting the news but my GP has prescribed me some sleeping tablets and thankfully slept for about 9 hours straight so feeling like a new woman with some new found confidence finally!
