Sorry to hear about your Mum, and sorry you are experiencing this. I think it depends on where you had it done. I had a hysteroscopy and DNC privately last year and the Consultant called me less than a week later. I had a hysteroscopy on the NHS this year and I waited a month before I was told it wasn't a big enough sample to test. I have read of people waiting up to 10 weeks, but that was due to Covid. So, hopefully your wait isn't too long, and you can always call if you think it has been too long.

Hi there thanks for the reply, results are inconclusive so I'm back for the hysteroscopy next week, I'd rather just go straight to hysterectomy but am guessing that's too extreme with no positive result! Thanks for replying I appreciate the support and I hope you too are ok after your journey so far x

Yep, they have to have an idea of what they are dealing with. And, hopefully nothing sinister. But, I know what you mean. I have been bleeding daily for over 18 months now. They tried to do an ablation in March but my womb is the wrong shape. So I was put on a waiting list for a hysterectomy. I take 2 tablets of progesterone daily, but still bleed. Sometimes it is reduced to streaking, but this weekend it has been heavy again. So, I'm not looking forward to the first few weeks after the hysterectomy, but am looking forward to putting it all behind me.
