Hello, if you are concerned speak with your gp as soon as you can, at least then you know you are doing something positive about your situation 

l would contact your dr and ask for a referral to gynaecology explaining your family history and let your dr decide what's next. 
l had left sided abdominal pain and bowel changes, weight loss, tired. I had a colonoscopy and it showed bilateral complex ovarian cysts, the colorectal dept referred me to gynaecology oncology which was a bit of a surprise, The cysts and overies plus extensive adhesions were removed 8 weeks later, A bigger op than expected.  Fortunately the biopsies were benign. 
l hope any ovarian cysts ect you may have are also benign.
