Hi there, firstly I am very sorry you're going through all of this. I know from my own experience how daunting and worrying it can be to go through this process. I'm sure everyone here will tell you the same,there are lots of reasons for lymph nodes to be enlarged, many of which are nothing to worry about. I know you will have a whole array of emotions and worries right now but the most important thing you can do is maintain a positive mindset (easier said than done) and stop referring to Dr Google (believe me I know how tempting this is, but I made this mistake too). I know its scary but it's a positive thing that you are now on the urgent pathway and your haematology team are investigating things. IF (and its still a big if) your CT has shown some abnormalities which require further investigations, I would imagine the next step they will take is sending you for a biopsy, despite all the blood tests and scans, the only concrete way to rule out or diagnose lymphoma is through biopsy and then having an expert look at this through a microscope.

Just to give you some background on myself, I am a 26yo male that comes from a medical background and I'm currently 2 months into treatment following a stage 2 classical hodgkins lymphoma diagnosis which came completely out of the blue. Initially I began to push my family and even my partner away following my diagnosis as I didn't want to worry them as well, but I can assure you that your family, partner and friends are very important right now and are all rooting for you, speak to them, tell them your concerns, they are in your corner and will support you through anything.

I truly wish you the very best for your follow up appointment next Wednesday, I know how scary it can be and how easy it is to let the mind wander. Remember, there are lots of reasons for lymph nodes to be englarged, lymphoma isn't the only explanation for what you're going through. Trust your haematology team, they are amazing at what they do and will support you through everything. IF (remember that it's still only an if) lymphoma is the reason for the lymph node enlargement, just know that lymphoma is VERY treatable, treatment is tough yes, but it has incredibly high success rates.
