When I went to the breast clinic I was seen by the nurse first. She asked a few general questions about my health and any history of breast cancer in family. She then did an examination of both breasts and armpits. I was then sent for a mammogram and ultrasound. While having the ultrasound the doctor decided to do a biopsy because of what she could see. I then saw the nurse again. She told me that it did look like a cancer but needed to wait for the biopsy result. I was told the team meet once a week to discuss results. The breast clinic I went to meet on a Friday so I was booked in for first thing Monday morning. They recommend that you bring someone with you when you do return for your results
