Placental Site Trophoblast Tumour

Hi,

I Have been diagnosed with Stage IV PSTT, a very rare cancer that is part of Gestational Trophoblastic Disease.  I start immunotherapy on April 4th at a hospital in London.  Just wondering if there was anyone out there who has had this diagnosis or who is going through immunotherapy?.  Apparently there are only 5 cases a year.

I have been told there is no cure and wondered also if this is classed as terminal for insurance purposes??

  • Welcome to the forum, Shelley.

I'm sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with cancer.

While I don't recall anyone here on the forum who has been diagnosed with the same type of cancer I hope you'll soon get to chat with other members who are going through immunotherapy. On that note, there is a page from our website I wanted to share with you which covers this type of treatment and I hope this can be of some help.

The other thing I wanted to mention is if you feel like speaking to one of our nurses to ask some questions please feel free to give them a call on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m.

    Best wishes,
