Breast Biopsy

Hi everyone,

I had my  3 Biopsies last Thursday, the lump I found they thnk its nothing to worrie about but found another lump they are concerned about.

Im trying not to worry but do get waves of worry and tears, I'm sure this is normal,

Do you all get like that?

Its the not knowing and also having pain on the side of my body, even before Biopsy.

Has anyone else had this?

Kind Regards

  • limbo is arguably the worst scenario. made worse that it's nothing new!

not sure how all these advancemen's work but surlely, solve the problems you have already created, i,e, delays between tests, it would shurely clear up 30 odd% of cases for aniety and additioal work?

Mackenna, I'm sure you have nothing to worry about, yes they hurt you, its always nasty. but great they were sampling something perhaps you didnt concider yourself. It's got to be at the begining of something if it amounts to anything! always a win win. You'll be fine reguardless, may need a procedure, but will look back grateful it was caught.

wish you all the love and support you need. even if the worst you get to beat it now and come out stronger!

my wife and her mother have gone through it, you'll breeze it!

    all the best

    paul.

    Hi Mackenna,

I can assure you that the way you are feeling is nfortunately perfectly normal. Dealing with the unknown is always difficult and our imaginations tend to go into overdrive. Having a biopsy can leave the breast tender for a while afterwards, but it is unusual to have pain associated with breast cancer. Not all breast  lumps are cancerous. Many are benign cysts, hormonal or fibrous changes. Only 1 person in every 8 who attend the breast clinic will get a cancer diagnosis.

Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on. We are always here for you.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx

  • Hi Mackenna, feel your pain as I've just had a second biopsy taken Monday a vacume biopsy as first biopsy last week, a core needle biopsy, found some atypical cells and so they wanted to biopsy a larger area, going Monday for results! Trying not to worry until I know what dealing with although it's hard not too x good luck with yours and it's completely normal to worry x

  • Hi everyone. I hope you're all doing ok as ok can be x

Alibro im I'm a similar situation where atypical cells have been discovered following a biopsy. I've been assured it's nothing to worry about but they want to remove the lump and send for further testing.

I hope you don't mind but I was wondering if you had any further information you could share on the outcome of your results? I feel in limbo waiting for the operation and outcome x

    Hi Casx,

I am sorry to hear that they want to remove a lump to send for further testing. Although this is a worrying situation, you could still find that there is nothing untoward there. A number of people go through similar situations, but the one good thing is, that your consultant is not taking any chances and wants to be certain that there is no cancer present.

Some cancers don't always show up on mammogram or ultrasound, so you'll be glad that you've had this done in the end. Do you have a date for surgery yet?

I sincerely hope that all goes well for you. Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on. We are always here for you.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx
