Alectinib - can I split the capsules?

Having recently been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer which has spread to other parts .but

because of a particular gene I have been put on alectinib capsules in 3 weeks they have shown

good progress now because of a throat infection I can't swallow.dose anyone know if I split the capsules

would they still be affective .really do need this medication. Jean

Hi.
Afraid you cannot split the capsules , inside are very small beads (medicine) they nead to be in the capsule to get into your stomach to desolve slow it's possible some could do damage on the way down if loose, get in touch with your specialist make sure I'm right.you might be able to get something different in liquid form.
