Hi
My Dad had a fall 2 weeks ago and had to go to hospital, he was discharged and we were told his tests results came back clear. 4 days later my dad starting experiencing numbness in the top of half of his legs, by the time the paramedics came he was paralysed from the waist down. He was taken to a different hospital and they confirmed he had a compressed spine which caused the paralysis and that he had advanced cancer. Numerous scans later and they could not find the primary source of his cancer, which we had trouble getting to terms with. A week later he's still in hospital and they still have no idea where the primary source is. It's been a devasting couple of weeks as he is now being treated by Pallitive Care in the hospital for End of Life. We were told he may not make it through the weekend. He's got the "death rattle" and is in and out of consciousness. He's not eating anymore and is barely drinking. The hospital have been great at keeping his pain under control, so I'm thankful for that. I just can't get over how quick it's all happened. We are all devastated obviously. We were originally told he had a few months to live and now 2 weeks from his initial fall he's nearly end of Life... I just can't get my head around it and I can't believe it's happening
thanks
Michelle
