Pancreatic Cancer told we don’t have long

my dads stage 4 cancer is very aggressive and spreading fast.

I’m scared and so is he, he hasn’t been able to empty his bowls for nearly two weeks even with laxatives. what are our options?

his back pain is getting worse and he is very sleepy.

he is very scared about his biopsy on Monday. I don’t know what I can do to help or support I feel so helpless and just broken. He’s being positive he can try and fight this.

Realistically, is it true not many people diagnosed with stage 4 of this cancer live very long?

If anyone out there has any help about any of this I’d appreciate it as I feel I can’t get my head around it.

  • Hello Mum was offered chemo but only to manage the symptoms, it was pallaitive care only.  It was a large tumor that had spread to her liver and lungs. Mum's GP warned us it would be very quick( weeks not months),apaprently thats typical of this cancer.

Mum was 75 but she only looked 65 she was so young at heart and so full of live xx

This forum has really helped me over the past months and I have now managed to stop agonising over those last few weeks and reliving everything with Mum, I still have tears when talking about Mum but I have losts of photogtaphs and try to remember all the good times.
