Welcome to Cancer Chat KJC1995 although I'm sorry to hear about your grandad.

It can be scary finding out that you are going to lose someone close to you but I just wanted to let you know that you are not alone. Many members on the forum will understand the sadness and pain you are feeling having been in similar positions with their nearest and dearest and I'm sure they will post soon to offer their support and advice.

I know it'll be tough but if you can try to make the most of the time you do have left together and make as many happy memories as you can for the future.

The best always have to go before...to make sure that the party is in full swing...At least thats what   I keep telling my Grandchildren...Be strong..be brave...you and your family will need to be both..

Your Grandad did a very special job...He was a hero to many....but ignored by those that have no idea about the real world....He will be fine.....as you will....when the time comes....cry....and cry a lot....But remember one thing.....when you were a little ...he used to pick you up....and tell you to stop crying....Thats what Grandads do.......Be brave....Your Grandad always was....and always will be....
