Thoughts on the Dying Process

I insert my late wife's thoughts.  She died of Kidney cancer of the lymph glands on 19th January this year.  She was very positive to the end and tried hard to learn and share her experience for the benefit of others.

Please feel free to view and read and share with anyone who would benefit.  Debbie's horror was dying young and mine is living without her but her message is one of hope. xxx

  • Hi Jules and Annabel,

Wishing you both a good Easter too.  I'm off with my new lady for our first trip together, as such, to Amsterdam for Easter; so heres hoping it all goes well!

Lots of hugs and kind thoughts to you.

    Ian xx

  • Have a wonderful trip to Amsterdam.  Hope the sun shines on you and your lady and that you are on ' a high' for all the right reasons whilst there.  Have very good memories from a long weekend there (about 10 of us went) and stayed close to the Dam Square.  Also visited the bulbfields and still have tulips in my garden flowering now.  It was a great trip so I wish you the same.  Hugs  Jules x

  • Have a great time in Amsterdam Ian,

Like Jules went here some time ago ,

Had a wonderful time even if we did walk a lot as we got slightly lost one evening.

Would love to go again one day.

    hugs

    Annabel. xx

  • Thanks Jules, Annabel and Gill,

Much appreciated.  I went before with Debbie, some years ago too, so it will be nice to go again with Julie.

I'll let you all know how it goes on my return .

Lots of love to you all.

  • Hi Jules,

Back at last from great weekend in Amsterdam made one day longer by having our passports stolen!!.  Then got back to the Gatwick Car Park to find someone had dented my car!!

    Lots of kind thoughts

    Ian x

  • Hi Ian

Well if you had a great weekend despite the annoyance of stolen passports and dented car, the company and Amstedam had its own magic.  Bet Jack was pleased to see you on your return (assume he was boarding with your daughter).

Had a good Easter weekend ourselves and though I was back to work on the Monday seeing family beforehand made that easier.  Hubby had a day lakeside fishing with our son yesterday and came home smiling and tired (for all the right reasons).  I spent my day off looking after baby Zack for our daughter as they were painting their bedroom and it lessened his exposure to the 'fumes'.  All returns to normal today.

    Hugs  Jules x

  • Hi Ian

Glad you had a good time in Amsterdam despite the stolen passports and dented car.  It always takes the edged off something good when something bad happens.  I might think twice about going to Amsterdam given that you had two bad experiences.

As Jules says no doubt you got a good welcome home from Jack.

    Best wishes.

    Gill

  • Hi Jules and Gill,

Yes Jack was pleased to see me.  He had been on a friend's farm and very tired by the time I arrived back!

To add to my woes.  Yesterday, I dropped my mobile and it bounced and then went through the slit between the floor and the lift door!!  It fell 4 stories into the lift pit and I waited all day to get an engineer out to salvage the bits!!...Poor luck certainly runs in the blocks!

  • Hi Ian

Well. they do say bad luck comes in threes - stolen passport, dented car and now the mobile phone.  Thats it now please. Get back to enjoying life. Have a great weekend. Jules x
