I havent got bone cancer I have oesphical junction cancer at top of stomach . 6 years ago I oesophical cancer which was removed . I had 6 years cancer free . Begining of march I was taken into hospital with an inflamed pancrease and when I a ct scan and mri scan they discovered cancer had come back and tis time with a vengance and its not operable this time its terminal

I knew you had oesophageal cancer that had returned after several years. We are both in the same position of it being incurable. My question about bone cancer was for bonecancerpatient who I presume has bone cancer. But did not directly reply to them.

Timely advice with midday UV levels forecast at UV6  today. Ive got a n wide brimmed Tilley sunhat to wear along with SPF 50 sunscreen and sunglasses. Doing some gardening today and a BBQ later. Enjoy your day.

Hi Ed,  I am sure I have skin cancer or sun damage on my scalp so I am wearing a hat in this weather.  I had a skin cancer removed from my back a few years ago.  I caused all the damage myself by lying in the sun all the time in South Africa so can't blame anyone else.  Enjoy your BBQ we will be having a few of those this weekend.  I saw you put on another thread about exercise, I would be careful about exercising too strenuously because of your spine.  I asked the oncologist about swimming and Tai Chi and he said I could do both.  I haven't been swimming yet but started Tai Chi which is very gentle and I am enjoying it.  Have a lovely sun safe weekend.

Good to hear from you and thanks for the advice on excercising and bone cancer. Ill go easy on the gardening.  If you have sun damage on your scalp get it seen to. It may only require a tube of effudix cream to clear it up. Like you I got a lot of sun damage living abroad and from my outdoor occupation. My present woes are all my own fault and completely preventable. Have a lovely weekend.

Keep out sun till about 3.30pm make sure you have factor 50 suncream on  and pleanty of water to drink . Its abiut 32 now

Yes I forgot to mention avoiding the midday sun when suns rays are strongest. Do you know which immunotherapy drug you will be given. Im on cemiplimab for Squamous Cell cancer and Denosumab Xgeva to help protect bones from fractures.

I dont yet all I know is its a new one I am taking part in trials . I think its a good idea yo take part in it so it can help other patients 

Its been to hot here 30° plus I have covered in factor 50 and wide brimmed hat simalar to a tiley hat but got from Rhodes a few years ago most of time been sitting insde with curtains drawn and fan on keeping fliuds up too . Got an assetment appointment on Wednesday and a immunotherapy appointment on Friday then on 1st of june chemotherapy

Youve got a busy hospital week ahead. I get my 3 weekly infusion of cemiplimab on Wednesday. Taking part in the trial is great public service for future patients and gives you the chance of a longer healthier life. The direction cancer treatment seems to be headed is living a better quality life with cancer rather than trying to completely kill it off ( along with the patient in the process. Got all my chores done early this morning while it was cool. Will hang around in the shade in my garden today.

• I have an assement appointment on wednesday . All being well first appointment for immunotherapy . Then 1st June chemo the two weeks from then chemo and two weeks another chemo session not sure about immunotherapy treatment yet 

Hi had a busy day yesterday got chemo pump on arm till Monday afternoon then got more appointments next week bloods and picc line dressing change might as well set my campbed there

Pleased for you that its moving quickly with your treatment plan. It does sometimes feel like hospital visits take over your life. Hope it goes well for you and you tolerate the treatment well. Be kind to yourself and take a rest if you feel the need to.

Cheers mate getting pump off monday then on thursday picc line dressing changed then next week chemo and blood tests all appointments we will try and go away on day trips with coach trips have to see 

The day trips by coach sound an enjoyable way to relax and distance yourself from hospital visits. Enjoy.

Hi Farmer Ed hope you are well Had pump off yesterday . Slept better last night just got upset stomach and diarrhoea not nice . Got picc line dressing change on thursday . Next week got three appointments going to start camping at hospital

Hi mate well I got pump off tomorrow picc line dressing change wednesday and a consultatation then immuno on friday this seems par for the course at moment . Going to book coah trip to Great Yarmouth tomorrow to go on a Tuesday when I dont have appointments and also no chemo pump either 

I had my second session of chemo on Friday . Had pump removed from arm this morning . Then Wednesday 2 appointments picc line dressing change and bloods then consultation . Then friday immunotherapy another busy week serms to be the par gor course . One good thing the drugs company are paying for taxis to pick me up snd bring me home
