My mum has terminal cancer and now bowel is blocked

Hi, 

Taking me a lot to write this but my mum has been amazing through beating cancer. We had good results the treatment is working but now they’ve said that her bowl is obstructed. 
I feel like they are not helping her with pain relief and they have just left her. I know there are options for her but because she’s stage 4 I feel like they don’t want to as it’s not worth the money. 

what can I do or say, has anyone been through this?

    Hello jessica-poppy, is your mum able to open her bowels, even just a little, if she isn't able to she really needs to be seen by a doctor quickly, take care, Eddie

    A very warm welcome to our forum.

    I am sorry to hear about your mum's symptoms and surprised that she has been sent home without any advice. Please phone the hospital immediately, as her pain should be controlled and something done to relieve her bowels. Hospitals don't close for holidays. There is always someone there to give advice in situations like this.

    She deserves to be treated like a human being, no matter what stage her cancer is at.

    We haven't heard anything from you for a wee while and I was just wondering how your mum is? I sincerely hope that she is feeling more comfortable. Did you contact the hospital to help with her pain?
