My mother has only just been diagnosed with cancer, Stage 4. She is more or less bed bound. Has a catheter because the cancer was stopping her from peeing. Can just about stand, but not unaided. Eating very little. Currently hospitalised but I think is being sent home next week.
She can't cope at home alone! I live 200 miles away and although I plan to visit can't be there much due to work and family commitments.
I think she needs full-time care. How does this happen? I'm terrified she will be sent home and will be in pain, not able to cope and will only have carers in to attend to basic needs.
