welcome, although I am sorry you find yourself on here.

we are in the same boat, mine is grade 2 invasive ductal carcinoma ( with mucinous thrown in for good measure) 

I find out on wed when chemo starts....it's as scary as it gets isn't it? 

Please know you will have plenty of support here ( me for one)

Sorry to hear we are in the same boat...I'm still trying to get my head around it all...the wait is the hardest...I have my first appointment with the oncologist next week so hopefully find out more xxx

I've been contemplating weather to write on here or not today I just 4ght y not....yeah we will...and we will.be fine...we got this...omg the 4ght of being bald I've brought scarfs already and can't wait for my wig fitting let me know how it goes...uea I have a very good support system at home. I'm sure you do also xxx

Apart from my sister everyone has been fab, they are all behind me 100 percent. My sister however suggests I refuse chemo...imagine how that made me feel??? I have decided not to update her on my journey, I don't need that kind of support!

I am probably going to go for a real hair wig, I know they cost more but I need it to look as convincing as possible! I also enquired about micro blading my eyebrows but it's a no go for me as I won't be able to lie flat on my back for 3 hours....

You need positivity around you.. I'm sure she still wants to support you your her sister.I have a good support network around me.which really helps when my positivity dies down they ate there to pick me up...I just want something that suits me lool I usually just wear my hair in braids so gona be a lil hard for me...but sure.I'll find something..yes we sure can do this bab xx

I understand how you feel, everything is so daunting and scary before you start treatment - the fear of the unknown I struggled with a lot.

I'm halfway through my chemo now for Hodgkin's Lymphoma and I've surprised myself massively and how much better it has been than I thought it would be. For me, my main side effect has been fatigue and so have managed to deal with it pretty well so far. Before you start chemo you are always told about all the potential side effects you may have to deal with and how poorly some people can feel - and of course that can happen - but there is also so much chance that like me you will surprise yourself in how well your body can cope with it all. I've been told by doctors and others that being diagnosed young (I am 21) we are generally better at coping with illnesses and treatment, so there is a lot of hope that you will be ok. 

I do appreciate that I am having a different chemo to what you will be but my mum had breast cancer and so may have had similar to what you will and generally she coped very well with it. Of course she had days when she didn't feel great but i always remember her being the same mum that she had been before and doing everything she had managed to do before also. 

So, although it's so hard not to be scared, have faith because it may not be as bad as you think it will be.
