and now the end is near

Oh God! Today we have been told that my wife is moving from treatment to end of life care and will be moving to the hospice in the morning.

Its only just over 10 weeks since diagnosis.

She's 44

We have 2 kids aged 9 and 7 who we're going to have to tell

It's still officially Cancer of Unknown Primary, but likely from the bile duct and seems to have taken the Macmillan nurses and the oncologist by surprise as to how aggressive it is.

It's going to be a tough period.

  • Iv just come through this with my mum . I lost her 10 days ago. You will find the strength from somewhere it's amazing how we can stay strong and how our body reacts in order to be there for our loved one . I never slept for 5 nights straight and even since then Iv had poss 20'hour sleep. My heart aches for your poor kids , I can however say I lost my dad when I was 11 and my brother 8 . It was tough but kids are resilient and will be there for you and be a good distraction . I hope Your wife is not suffering and she knows you are with her . Life is cruel at times ! Stay strong ! Lots of love xx
