Hi,
ive never posted to a forum before. My dad was 67, he went into hospital on the 5th of April and was diagnosed with lung cancer on the 6th of April. Got radiotherapy but sadly it had spread to other areas. He was in a lot of pain and was in a hospital over 100 miles away but luckily got put to our local hospital on Thursday the 29th of April. Family had got to see him and he passed on Tuesday the 4th of may (he wasn't even a Star Wars fan for the date). Even though it's so much better for him no longer suffering (he was on a lot of drugs and was still in a lot of pain) it's such a shock for getting our heads around. Think he just held on to see my mum, my sister, me and my daughter (who will be 20 on Monday) his service is going to be on Tuesday and he's getting cremated on Wednesday my mum wants him home where he belongs. They would of been 47 years married in October. I'm just waffling now just want him back really. I know that's not possible though. He's probably having a pint where ever he is catching up we people he hasn't seen in years.
